Floyd Wall

Which is the best pink floyd album: dark side or the wall?
me and this kid at school were fighing about which pink floyd album was better. obv the wall is more famous but i think dark side of the moon has an overall better quality of music (time, us and them, money, brain damage, eclipse) what do you think? or do you have a different floyd album in mind?
1. Dark Side is a much more famous album. It’s one of the best selling albums of all time, and a lot of copies of the Wall have been sold, but nowhere near the amount of copies of DSOTM.
2. Their best album is an opinion, and in my opinion Animals is their best. If I had to pick between Dark Side and the Wall though, I’d go with Dark Side. Why? Simply because I like it better. Neither albums have a single weak track though (except Bring The Boys Back Home off the Wall), and I only like DSOTM just a little bit better.

The Wall – Immersion Box Set $109.99 The Wall is less a collection of songs than a single work, which is sometimes frustrating; the plot lacks enough coherence to hold the snippets of music together. However, there are occasional flashes of brilliance on what arguably ranks as Pink Floyd’s most ambitious project. Most of these come from the fully developed songs, which have become classics in their own right; “Hey You,” “Mother,” and… |

The Dark Side Of The Moon – Immersion Box Set $71.32 Dark Side of the Moon, originally released in 1973, is one of those albums that is discovered anew by each generation of rock listeners. This complex, often psychedelic music works very well because Pink Floyd doesn’t rush anything; the songs are mainly slow to mid-tempo, with attention paid throughout to musical texture and mood. The sound effects on songs like “On the Run,” “Time” and especially… |

Pink Floyd – Pulse $11.70 At long last Pink Floyd: Pulse has arrived on DVD, and Floyd fans already know it’s a major cause to celebrate. The original VHS release was a milestone bestseller, but it seemed to take forever for the DVD to arrive, with numerous delays while Floyd guitarist David Gilmour and long-time Floyd producer James Guthrie labored to restore, re-edit, and remix this legendary concert video in 5.1-channel… |

Pink Floyd – The Wall [VHS] $19.98 By any rational measure, Alan Parker’s cinematic interpretation of Pink Floyd: The Wall is a glorious failure. Glorious because its imagery is hypnotically striking, frequently resonant, and superbly photographed by the gifted cinematographer Peter Biziou. And a failure because the entire exercise is hopelessly dour, loyal to the bleak themes and psychological torment of Roger Waters’s great musi… |

Wall-Live in Berlin [VHS] $7.59 The Wall (Live in Berlin) seemed uninspired and gimmicky in 1990 but looks and sounds terrifically compelling on DVD, thanks to its vivid image quality and greatly improved audio mixes. The freshly mineswept Potsdamer platz–a once-thriving plaza destroyed by Allied bombing in 1943–proved the perfect place to mark the opening of the Berlin Wall with an all-star production of Pink Floyd’s magnum o… |
