A blog without visitors doesn’t have much point, which is why the first thing every blogger needs is traffic. The only way for your blog to grow is to attract a large number of interested visitors. Communicating with other bloggers can be an effective way to market your own blog, but many inexperienced bloggers don’t like to do this. If you fit into this category, you should get over your reluctance and start connecting with other blog owners, especially those in your niche. Contrary to the popular belief, asking for a link from a blogger is actually helping them discover useful content that their readers will like. It’s necessary for you to stress what the other blogger gets from this (relevant content), as you’ll receive better responses this way.
Most importantly, do not forget that you are not the only person in the blogging community that can provide the latest up to date information with for the blog that you are targeting. A majority of the leading bloggers usually get the same story from many different places. So instead of sweating it out to be the first one, try to be different from the others. The more you work at getting unique information, you will get more responses from other blog owners. But sometimes, no matter what is done, you still will not be the first person to give each blogger the most updated information. So, just forget about it. It’s no biggie.
The second point to keep in mind is to write brief emails. In all likelihood, the blogger you’re writing to has a lot on his plate and doesn’t want to read a long treatise, so just write a concise email. If the blogger replies to your email, you can then write back with more detail if you want, but don’t start off with a long email. At first, however, it’s important to stick to your primary reason for contacting them, which is to hopefully receive a backlink.
Last, remember that there is nothing that is more important than original content when you are trying to get new links. All bloggers that you ask for a link will be expecting you to supply content that is original and has something new of value. This will provide more chances of your getting the backlink. However, if you are just linking to another existing blog, then the value immediately decreases.
The chances of your getting the link are not that big. So, if you are going to link to another blog post that did not originate from you, you can say a few comments and indicate What You think about the blog post.

There’s no reason why you can’t get the ball rolling today, just find some good blogs in your niche and contact the bloggers.
